Why are we putting up with this? I now put forward May 5th, 2006 ("Cinco De Mayo") as, don't buy Mexican anything day! No burritos! No tacos! No nothing Mexican. And, fire all Mexicans that don't show up for work on May 1st.(my boss has already made the signs..."I got fired today!") I am all for freedom. But...don't try to take over my life. I'm not responsible for yours. Anyone want to start a pissing contest, feel free! |

Do you think you benefit -if- someone does drink Bud? You are way too smart for that. A one-day boycot of the US will do nothing but "harm by media": so the lawn gets cut Thursday, not Wednesday big yadda. Taking this issue out on the Mexicans is kinda pointless. Color me liberal if you will, but I think the following points are true: - Mexicans are as good a workers as anyone else, maybe even more so than most - mexicans looking to be -legal- US citizens go before those who would buck that law - current laws and border enforcement dont't work; minujmtemen and other mercenary groups double plus don't work; - the Mexican economy is dependent upon the trade with the USA and Cananda. Net net: laws outdated and unenforcable must be updated; people must be treated fairly; new laws that fix old ones must be implemented; Tit for tat is a road to nowhere. Or do we just strike that whole "American Melting Pot" from "Schoolhouse Rock" and be done with it? | ||
