	Dimmer April 27, 2006   05:02 PM PDT   Ah Bill: I see yer point, but I think you may be over-reacting. Do you -really- think America will hurt if the Mexicans drink Negra Modelo not Budweiser? Do you think you benefit -if- someone does drink Bud? You are way too smart for that. A one-day boycot of the US will do nothing but "harm by media": so the lawn gets cut Thursday, not Wednesday big yadda. Taking this issue out on the Mexicans is kinda pointless. Color me liberal if you will, but I think the following points are true: - Mexicans are as good a workers as anyone else, maybe even more so than most - mexicans looking to be -legal- US citizens go before those who would buck that law - current laws and border enforcement dont't work; minujmtemen and other mercenary groups double plus don't work; - the Mexican economy is dependent upon the trade with the USA and Cananda. Net net: laws outdated and unenforcable must be updated; people must be treated fairly; new laws that fix old ones must be implemented; Tit for tat is a road to nowhere. Or do we just strike that whole "American Melting Pot" from "Schoolhouse Rock" and be done with it?
